Juice Beauty Cleansing Milk

Ooohhh….how exciting!  I got home from work yesterday to find both my Ipsy Bag and my Birchbox.  Yay!!! It’s basically what I live for.

I’m going to start testing today with the Juice Beauty Cleansing Milk from Birchbox.  I received a .5 oz. sample, which isn’t a bad size.  If you purchase this product from Birchbox, you get 6.75 oz. for $22.00.

This cleanser is certified organic (if that  happens to matter to  you at all) and the ingredients include things like organic juices such as raspberry and aloe as well as oils such as sweet almond oil, grape seed oil, sunflower oil, and Vitamin E..

Upon first smell (you know I like to smell things) it is light and citrusy.  I like the fact that that the fragrance comes from essential oils such as sweet orange and frankincense.

Birchbox Breakdown

If you’ve got a dry, sensitive, or mature complexion, this creamy cleansing milk starts the process on a high note. Thanks to an antioxidant- and vitamin-rich formula of plant-based ingredients (like raspberry, aloe, and grape juice), it simultaneously melts away makeup, hydrates, and soothes irritation. The result? A dewy fresh canvas, primed for any product.

How to Use

Rub in circular motions over damp skin to loosen dirt and makeup, and gently rinse away with warm water. Can be used both morning and night.

So, I basically took this into the shower with me.  With a full face of makeup still on, no less.  Don’t judge me.  Anyway, I put this citrusy, milky formula into my hand.  About the size of a quarter I would say.  I massaged it all over my face, including my eyes and lips.  It felt divine, let me tell you.  And the scent was a little stronger than when I first smelled it.

So..did it deliver?  Pretty much.  It did remove most of my makeup, including mascara and gel eyeliner.  In the end, I was left with little smudges of mascara under my eyes.  All in all, it was a nice product.  I don’t know if it is $22.00 of nice, but you may feel differently.  Many times, I just use coconut oil to remove my makeup, so I’m usually hesitant to spend much money on a facial cleanser.

I will give it a thumbs up, however.
